C.E.F.Weyse/Carl Nielsen Arranged by Laif Moller Lauridsen

Bergmann Edition: Score and Separate Parts 20, 8, and 8 pages respectively

C –instruments , as the title of this book illustrates, are non- transposing instruments such as the string family, oboes, flutes (in C) and recorders. This will tell you therefore that the guitar 1 part is a single note score throughout. The second part however is for a normal guitar and although it is largely accompaniment throughout, it quite detailed and there is plenty to do, and so the player of this part has to be a moderate player, technically. Four of these songs are by Carl Nielsen, three are written by C.E. F. Weyse, and the final one is a Danish Folksong which actually appears in two forms, in D and in G Major.

They are all in friendly keys, and quite short, but pleasant pieces that are nice to hear and lots of fun to play, even if you are the guitarist doing the top part with just one note at a time!

I can definitely recommend this nice set of songs and if you do have someone who plays one of these other instruments, then it would also suite that combination really nicely.
