Guitarra Azul

CD personal production, available from numerous sites including CDBaby

Here is an eight piece band, with guitars, percussion, violins, accordion and bass playing in a very Latin style, and at times crossing over to almost Flamenco too. All the pieces are written by guitarist Steven Meredith Edwards, who has his compositional hands in many places including film and live theatre. The variety of the music is quite considerable and the large use of percussion of varying sorts really does add to the listening experience, just take the very Arabian influenced Desert Flower, or the beautiful title track, Lotus Flower, as two examples.

This was their third album, and now they have released five albums, all full of this same style of music and playing, which throughout this fine album seems effortless, and is beautifully recorded with all the playing very clear and close .So if you like a Latin style of music with much variety then this album will give you a lot of pleasure.
