This first volume of 20 songs (there is a second volume of 20 more) originated with a number of songs being sung on children’s television that were loved by Hélène Gosselin-Cardin and subsequently collected together with a view to making something out of them. So she asked a number of composers to add a number of others to the list,. Then Michel Cardin provided the guitar accompaniment, the result being the two volumes with a total of 40 songs

They are very short  but tuneful and the guitar part itself is not too difficult so that anyone who has a mind to trying these little gems out , perhaps in front of a class of children in a school will definitely find that the little ones enjoy them, although I am not entirely sure where else they could be performed as they are essentially nursery songs for children.

The book is nicely presented, as always with Bergmann and therefore I hope that there will be some interest in this book.
