I have seen quite a few pieces from this lady and they have always been quite something. This latest book is no exception. Moreover the title of Love Songs is very apt. The tunes and the harmonies are very catchy and really do stick in your mind and the pieces themselves are wonderful to play, and the other thing to say is that they do sound as if they need words, because they really are love songs in every sense of the phrase.

See It With Your Eyes is the first piece, set in G Major 2/2 time. There are lovely harmonies, a great melody and everything fits wonderfully well onto the guitar and is only moderately difficult. A great start!

A New Day With You is a 4/4 piece in E Major, and again a very pleasant piece to play and listen to with a very clever guitaristic feel, and yet a lovely melody.

If You Weren’t By My Side is a 4/4 piece in C Major with some lovely touches and another superb piece all round.

The final piece is Timeless Memories, a G Major 4/4 piece that closes this set of pieces wonderfully well.

This is one of my favourite books I have seen just lately, great pieces, lovely melodies and harmonies, only moderately hard to play, so any decent player will find these simply beautiful to get involved with!
